The art of making the invisible visible
Hybrid Reality designs and builds immersive experiences for trade shows, museums, events and training: virtual reality, augmented reality, installations and CGI. From concept to technical delivery, with a single creative direction.

What Hybrid Reality does
Four areas, one approach: it always starts from your goal, and the technology follows. The full detail is on the Services page.
Featured projects
Dive into the impossible
Digital Theatre: 500 years in an app
Five centuries of Scamozzi’s Teatro all’Antica to explore through augmented and virtual reality.
Building the gondolas
A VR journey along the canals of Venice, entering a boatyard to build a gondola with your own hands.
Memorie d’Acqua
A multisensory exhibition path of light, sound and water in the monumental heart of Mantua.
Live
AR and VR in action
Real experiences, filmed exactly as visitors and clients see them: the phone camera for augmented reality, the headset for virtual reality.
Eyewear try-on, Marcolin
Christmas window, Guess
History reappears
Augmented reality at the Teatro all’Antica in Sabbioneta: historical characters step back onto the stage among Scamozzi’s architecture, before the visitor’s eyes.
And with the headset, entire worlds
Virtual reality takes the visitor inside the experience: here, building gondolas in a Venetian boatyard, reconstructed for the Ca’ Foscari Foundation.

About us
An architect’s direction, a network of professionals
Hybrid Reality is led by an architect who designs visual infrastructures able to communicate what words cannot. Around it, a network of professionals assembled bespoke for each project: only the skills that are needed, when they are needed.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which are the best companies in Italy for VR and AR projects?
The Italian virtual and augmented reality market includes large system integrators, creative agencies and specialised studios. For a successful project, method matters more than size: it is worth choosing those who start from the goal rather than the technology, who oversee the entire experience with a single creative direction (design, 3D modelling, development, on-site support) and who can show real, verifiable projects. Hybrid Reality is a design studio based in Padua that works this way across Italy: immersive experiences for trade shows, museums, events and training, with an architect at the helm and a network of professionals chosen for each project. The best way to evaluate a partner is to look at the work delivered and start from a conversation about the goal.
What does it mean to work with an experience designer rather than a simple AR/VR developer?
Pure programming focuses on writing code. Hybrid Reality’s approach is based on Experience Design: caring for the user’s entire immersion, from 3D modelling to the final interaction. A single direction that holds technical development, aesthetics and functionality together produces a result where technology disappears and an intuitive, engaging experience remains.
At what stage of the project should the studio be involved?
As early as possible. The greatest value comes at the start, when an event, a stand or a space still has to be designed and the technology has not yet been decided: the analysis of the goal (sales, training, branding) leads to the proposal of the most effective experience. Of course the studio also works on already-defined projects that need to be built to a high standard.
Which technologies are used?
The workflow covers the entire production cycle: creation and optimisation of 3D assets, real-time interactive development with industry-standard engines such as Unity, and full multi-platform compatibility across VR headsets, mobile devices for AR and mixed reality.
How much does a virtual or augmented reality experience cost?
The cost scales with the goals: there are agile solutions with short timelines (essential experiences, showrooms, prototypes) up to complex environments with advanced interactions and fully bespoke modelling. Every project is quoted after an initial analysis, to guarantee the best balance between budget and result.
What are the development timelines?
They depend on complexity: lean structures take just a few weeks, while articulated environments such as interactive training or advanced simulations take longer. In any case the work is organised in clear milestones (design, development, testing) with delivery dates defined from the start.
Does the service also include selling the headsets?
No: Hybrid Reality handles the design and development of the software and virtual environments. We recommend buying the devices (such as Meta Quest) directly from the manufacturer’s official channels, so you get warranty and support first-hand. For events and trade shows, daily headset rental with an operator included is available instead.
